The ICEX team, a part of HMC LAIR, is working with California State University Long Beach and the University of Costa Rica to create, implement, and utilize a multi-AUV system with the end goal of tracking migratory patterns of nurse sharks and sea turtles in Costa Rica. In doing so, we hope to gain better insights into the patterns and behaviors of these animals to better strategize conservation efforts.
